VISION 

SCHOOL TARGETS, STRATEGIES, & COMMITMENTS

Vision: To provide all students with the opportunities, resources, and skills needed to excel in today's dynamic world. 

Community:

Prioritizing relationships to ensure needs are met when needs are met and young people feel a sense of connection it improves instructional outcomes 

Building a community rooted in a restorative justice culture that benefits staff, students, and families

Rethinking family/community engagement - families as partners

Instruction:

Curriculum implemented with fidelity and aligned with meaningful assessments that provide actionable data for instructional planning.

Every student receives a high-quality education through access to individualized instruction, challenges, supports, and opportunities.

Students are active, engaged, and empowered partners in authentic learning experiences that ensure preparation for future careers and life.

Target (School Climate)  

Develop a school community in which all young people, staff, and families feel a sense of pride, belonging, and connection.  

Statement of Commitment: We are committed to developing a positive school community at GPHS.

Strategies:

Provide opportunities for staff to form relationships and build community

Creation of parent / community volunteer groups - PTSA &  Boosters

Creation of student clubs (including SGA) and activities based on student interest

Facilitation of Staff Book Study: Little Book of Restorative Justice

Target (Graduation Rate): 

Statement of Commitment: We are committed to ensuring each of our students graduate from GPHS

Strategies:

Develop effective systems to identify and support students and families (Student Support Team, Attendance Team, School Based Mental Health)

Case Management and Support for non-traditional students 

Develop and redefine the Alternative Education Program  

Case Management and Support for non-traditional students entering (9th grade prior to 23-24 school year) 

Target (Post-Secondary Indicators): 

Statement of Commitment:Staff are committed to invest in students and help them identify/achieve their post-secondary indicator by developing a culture of instruction in every department that is aligned w/ the Strategic Call to Action:  

Strategies:

Utilize College Career Counselor to identify and support students in achieving their college career readiness indicator.  

Determine Instructional strengths/areas for improvement through walkthroughs and staff evaluation process.
