Debate/Speech Club
Description: Students have the opportunity to practice and compete in Speech and Debate events at area competitions. Speech involves a presentation by one or two students that is judged against a similar type of presentation by others in a round of competition. Debate involves an individual or a team of students working to effectively convince a judge that their side of a resolution or topic is, as a general principle, more valid.

Drama Club/Theater
GPHS Theater is a program for all students interested in performing and/or working behind the scenes. All interested Guilford Park students are welcome to get involved in all of the theatre department's extracurricular productions and activities, including the fall play, spring musical, improv performances, and other events. Students do not need to be enrolled in a theatre course to participate.
Most meetings will occur after school in the Drama Room (506). Rehearsals and performances will occur in the auditorium whenever the space is available.

Educators Rising
Description: Are you interested in the field of education? If you answered yes, educators rising might be the club for you! We work with the newly formed GPHS pre-k program to plan fun events for the youngest students at the school! We plan and coordinate bulletin boards for the GPHS student and staff population and MORE! Environmental Club/Youth Climate Initiative
Description: This club is for anyone interested in making positive impacts on this planet we call HOME. We put our ideas into action! Students also have the option of working toward becoming a Certified Youth Climate Ambassador through the GPHS Chapter of YCI. (this is a more in-depth program that includes climate education, opportunities to interact with climate scientists and a chance to design and carry out an action plan. https://youthclimateleader.org/what-we-do/

Ethics Bowl
Description: The Ethics Bowl is a speech competition where teams speak on current events and other ethical dilemmas. It is an opportunity for students interested in public speaking and improving their communication skills, as well as gaining experience, involvement, and exposure to social affairs that may be helpful in careers dealing with humanities. Our vision for our version of this club is to practice competing in this style, and eventually compete at the official Ethics Bowl competition. It is great for students who are interested in debate but would rather have a more straightforward competition set up, and it also encourages youth involvement in societal welfare.

Healing Hands
Description: Creating physical hand made items to be collected then sent to patients at hospitals located in Rockville and Columbia. Description: It is a club where students join to share fun ideas they may have for the new school. This idea came due to the fact that this school is new since this is the first year we are trying to create "traditions" and just make this a better environment.
