2026-2027 Transportation Update:
All students who drive to school are required to park only in the designated student parking lot now located at the front of the school (see the map here and linked below). These parking spaces have been reserved specifically for students who plan on driving to GPHS, and they must complete an annual registration. Parking permits will be available for pick up on starting on Monday, August 10 from 8am - 2pm.
School Arrival & Drop-Off Procedures
School begins at 7:50am. To ensure students arrive on time, please aim to arrive by 7:40am. Students may enter the building starting at 7:25am.
Drop-Off Location:
Use the side parking lot near the “Home of the Panthers” sign.
- From Mission Road: Pass the front of the school, turn right into the first entrance of the side lot.
- From Route 1: Continue to the second entrance, turn left into the side lot.
- Drop-off takes place at the end of the lot near the stadium/exit to keep traffic flowing.
Exit Traffic Flow:
All vehicles must turn right onto Ridgley’s Run Road. Left turns are not allowed to maintain traffic flow.
Arrival & Parking for Student Drivers
Students must arrive by 7:40am. Building access begins at 7:25am
Student Parking:
Student parking is by permit only. Applications for student parking permits at GPHS are available. We will consider all requests for parking; however, selection will be made based on the following criteria:
- HCC/Jumpstart
- Work Release
- GT Research Program
- CRD/Apprenticeship Programs
- All other requests will be considered case by case.
New for 26-27: Student parking is located in front of the school. View the student parking area here.
- From Mission Road: Turn right into the main entrance to the school; student parking can be accessed by the first or second left into the back of the main parking area.
- From Route 1: Continue all the way around to the front of the school and turn left just before the tennis courts to enter the main parking area. Student parking can be accessed by the first or second left into the back of the main parking area.
School Dismissal & Pick-Up Procedures
School ends at 2:35pm. There will be no Early Dismissal after 2:05pm
Pick-Up Location:
Back and side of the school building. Use the same traffic pattern as morning drop-off.
- Follow arrows to the end of the side lot near the stadium/exit to help maximize space.
- All vehicles must exit right onto Ridgley’s Run Road. No left turns permitted.
