Beginning Aug. 19, all students and parents/guardians can log in to HCPSS Connect Synergy to view schedules including courses, teachers, and room numbers. After logging in, select Class Schedule from the left menu. Make a screenshot, print, or otherwise save the schedule for GP Student Orientation, Back to School Night, and the first day of school on August 24th.
GPHS Schedule Change Process
Schedule changes will occur in phases starting the first day of school. Please note that changes for elective courses will not be considered. All students and families have had the opportunity to review course selections in several ways since the scheduling process began seven months ago in December 2026. Guilford Park’s staffing and master schedule were built based on these choices.
Phase 1: August 24 - September 4
- Holes in schedules - report to student services during the class period with the missing course (hole) on the first day of school
- Missing a graduation requirement that cannot be taken in a following year
- Error in schedule (example: already taken course)
- Release time (HCC and employment)
Phase 2: September 8 – September 29
- All Phase 1 reasons
- Student and teacher requested level changes (ex. Honors to GT) pending space availability
- Extenuating circumstances requiring a different course - make an appointment with your school counselor to discuss concerns
Phase 3: October 1 - End of first semester (late January)
- Student and teacher requested level changes (ex. Honors to GT) pending space availability
Schedule Changes will not be made for the following reasons:
- Teacher preference
- Period preference
- Lunch shift preference
- To be in classes with friends
- Changing your mind about an elective choice
