Student Schedule Information

A list of student courses was available to view in student and family Synergy accounts on Friday, August 9. Please note that schedules including teachers and room numbers will be released by HCPSS on August 21, 2024 at 8am.

Please save, screenshot and/or print this schedule for:

New Student Orientation, August 22nd, 9am - 11am

Back to School Night, August 29nd, 6pm - 8pm

 The First Day of School, August 26th, 7:50am - 2:35pm

We ask that all students and families review their course lists to check for the need to make corrections. Reasons your schedule may need to be corrected include:

• too few credits (you need 7 total credits)
• too many credits (you need 7 total credits)
• a course that you have already taken and passed 
• schedule is missing a graduation requirement needed next year
• a course that you need to repeat because you did not pass it (you may need to repeat a course at a later time instead of now; your counselor will advise you on options)
• the course you have listed is the wrong level (ex: you were recommended to take English 11 Honors, and the schedule says English 11)
• a course you requested does not show on the schedule (This is probably an indication you need to choose a different class because it is not available or conflicts with another course you selected. Some classes overlap and students have to choose which one to take and an alternate to replace the course that conflicts.)
• Grade 11 ONLY: I am registered for a course at Howard Community College and am requesting Jumpstart Release Time. Complete the form linked here: Jumpstart Release Request

The counselors are not able to consider requests to change electives for students who have changed their minds. Unfortunately, because staffing is determined based on the requests students made in February, they cannot consider changes after HCPSS has determined staffing for our school.

Counselors will return to work full time on August 15. Please understand that they are focusing on students who need corrections for the reasons listed above. Generally, they are not able to honor requests to change electives unless there are extenuating circumstances.
